1~
n
u
RECLAMATION PLAN
This Reclamation Plan will be accomplished in compliance with the
Soil Conservation Service recommendations as per letter dated July
28, 19f18 in this exhibit.
1.. Overburden coverage of affected area will commence when
there is no longer a possibility of future disturbance of
that area. Coverage will be consistent with the surrounding
area.
2.. In this area the natural slope is sometimes greater than
3:1. In some places in the affected area it may be necessary
to establish a gradient greater than 3:1 in order to reason-
ably meet the existing natural gradient. However, as a
whole the reclaimed gradient will not exceed 3:1.
•
3(a). Topsoil will be saved and stored in order to have the
maximum amount available. It is anticipated to have twelve
inches (12") of coverage, especially in the areas where
bushes and trees will be re-planted.
3(b). The site will be seeded in the late fall (as nature would)
and will be planted directly into the freshly replaced top-
soil to avoid compacting. The area will be raked to imbed
the seed into the soil. The soil will be tested and the
proper fertilizer applied. Hay will be applied as mulch.
3(c). Grass, forb, shrub and trees information is supplied
in the enclosed letter from the Soil Conservation Service.
3(d). Application of seed will be by broadcast/raking method.
Recomendations by the Soil Conservation Service are for
this type of seeding.
3(e). Mulch is covered by Soil Conservation Service Letter
4. Since there is no water involved on this land at this time,
there are no ponds or streams to reclaim. Existing roads
will remain. Any permanent type buildings, such as the
shop/maintenance building shown in Exhibit C, will remain.
The powder and detonator storage buildings will be of such
construction that they may either remain for residential
usage (such as storage), or may be removed.
u
