Parcel B is also in a "bowl" and from the 2 to I or 3 to I slopes
surrounding the perimeter, 25 feet being the fall on the North, 14
feet on the East, 6 feet on the South, and 14 feet on the West,
once the floor Is reached, the floor is generally flat throughout.
D. Total area involved In operation
Parcel A has been surveyed at 14.73 acres. From this is excluded
2.2 acres leaving a balance of 12.53 acres. As the County requires
a 25 foot set back from any property lines with regard to excavation,
and it Is Intended that this 25 foot set back will be honored as
well as a 25 foot set back from the excluded area, 2.46 acres would
be further excluded from excavation so that in Parcel A 10.07 acres
would be available for excavation (perimeter approximate of excepted
area 1 , 136 lineal feet, 3, 158 plus 1 , 136 equals 4,294 lineal feet
times 25 foot set back equals 107,350 square feet divided by 43,560
equals 2.46 acres) .
Parcel B has been surveyed at 1 .67 acres from which there are no
excluded areas, but again, giving credance to the 25 foot set back
from property lines and given the perimeter as approximately 1 ,237
lineal feet at a 25 foot set back or 30,925 square feet, -- .7
acres, the area actually to be mined here would be .96 acres.
Thus, the total area to be mined would be 11 .03 acres, although
14.2 acres would actually be effected .
E. Present Vegetation
I . Surrounding the dwellings are lawn and garden areas and this
Is in the excepted area.
2. The balance of the property presently contains seasonal crop
plantings as historically it has been given an agricultural
use and presently is being utilized in that state, except for
the Northeast sector of the property which has native ground
covers and weeds in that it presently lays fallow.
F. Water Information
See Exhibit "G" for a more comprehensive discussion. However, as
shown on the Exhibit "C" map, you will note four wells. One is on
Parcel B in the Southwest corner, two are side by side in the Southeast
EXHIBIT "C"
Pre-Mining Status of Affected Land
Page 4
