• EXHIBIT D-RECLAMATION PLAN
Reclamation of the disturbed areas will occur, at times, during the mining operation,
and definitely upon completion of said operations. The life of the operation is in
determinate. The goals of reclamation, by virtue of the site's setting, will be returned to
rangeland and wildlife habitat. This will be accomplished by securing and stabilizing the
disturbed azeas. Existing pits and trenches will be back-filled with waste rock and dirt to pre-
mining contours and conditions (SEE EXHIBIT E-5)
The stock piles topsoil will be spread over all disturbed azeas to the extent that the
reseeding operation is successful. Prior to reseeding, compacted azeas will be scarified. The
disturbed areas will then be seeded with mixtures of native species as well as introduced
varieties, bunchgrasses and sod-formers. Broadcast seeding rates are based on about 80 pure
live seeds per square foot. For the purposes of purchasing seed, a bulk rate is also given with
the appropriate pure live seed rate incorporated into the calculations. The new approach road
will be backfilled, scarified and reseeded. The present main access road ispre-existing and
serves other properties. It will therefore remain open upon completion of operations and
reclamation of the mine site.
• All new refuse generated in conjunction with this operation will be hauled from the
site. Any temporary structures placed on the site will be removed.
A $3,500.00 dollar reclamation bond has already been posted with the State of
Colorado. (SEE ATTACHED Reclamation Cost Estimates, and EXHIBIT 3).
Page 7, 1 ] 0
