Bird Survey <br />Both the diversity and density of birds were what would be expected for the <br />habitat types found around the drill site. All species observed are known to <br />commonly utilize these habitat types for nesting and brood rearing. (See <br />Table 1~ <br />Site DDD <br />Habitat Survey <br />This site is located about 30 yards north of FDR 711 at an elevation of 8900 feet. It <br />has a slight westerly aspect with gently slopes of from 0-10% and is situated in an <br />uneven aged aspen stand with trees from 6-20 inches diameter at breast height <br />(DBH) and up to 70 feet tall. There are scattered sub-alpine fir and Engelmann <br />spruce trees in the vicinity with an open understory vegetated with skunk cabbage, <br />grasses and a minimal amount of snowberry. <br /> <br />Site DDD <br /> <br />
