Long, <br /> Drvi9on Drtector <br />To: Minerals Staff, Barb C. <br />From: HBH y <br />~ <br />Date: 9/23/92 ~ <br />RE: SHPO Actions and Issuance of the MT.RR permit <br />We include as a part of every application package provided to <br />applicants a "Notice to Applicants and Operators" that DMG may not <br />approve applications or amendments until the applicant provides us <br />some kind of SHPO clearance. This action is necessary so that DMG <br />complies with amended requirements of the Colorado Register of <br />Historic Places Act (CRS 24-80.1 101-108). DMG Minerals uses the <br />following policy: <br />1. We notice all applicants that they should secure SHPO <br />clearance for the proposed site prior to submitting an application <br />or amendment to DMG. The amendment must add new unpermitted acres. <br />2. If a clearance has not been obtained by the time of permit <br />approval, DMG conditions the permit or amendment approval such that <br />no disturbance of uncleared areas may occur until a copy of the <br />SHPO release or recommended mitigation letter is received by our <br />office. <br />
