Names of Structures and Well Permit Information: The Custom Crushing Pits, <br />consisting of Custom Crushing Pit No. 1, Custom Crushing Pit No. 2, and Custom Crushing Pit No. <br />3. Applicant will file an application for a well permit for these Pits with the State Engineer's office, <br />pursuant to §§37-90-137(11) and 37-92-305(6)(a), C.R.S. ~ <br />6. Legal Description of Point of Structures: The Custom Crushing Pits will be located <br />in the south half of Section 11 and the north half of Section 14, T. 6 S., R; 93 W., 6th P.M. Because <br />Pit No. 1 and Pit No. 3 are within 100 feet of the Colorado River and because Pit No. 2 is within 100 <br />feet of Pit No. 3, delayed depletions do not need to be addressed. The~centers of the Pits will be <br />located as follows: ~ <br />A. Custom CrushinP Pit No. 1: 3500 feet West of the East line and 125 feet North of <br />the South line of said Section 11. <br />I <br />B. Custom Crushing Pit No. 2: 3500 feet West of the East line and 300 feet South of <br />the North line of said Section 14: <br />i <br />C. Custom Crushing Pit No. 3: 2750 feet West of the East line and 100 feet North of <br />the South line of said Section 11. <br />7. Source and Death: The Custom Crushing Pits aze gravel pits located in alluvial <br />deposits adjacent to the Colorado River and will intercept and withdraw groundwater tributary to the <br />Colorado River. The estimated total maximum depth of each of the Pitsl will be twenty feet. <br />8. Appropriation Information: The appropriation was initiated on approximately <br />November 1,1998, by the planning of mining activities, together with the prepazation of the property <br />upon which the Custom Crushing Pits will be located for mining and the,formation of the intent to <br />appropriate water as described herein. ~ <br />i <br />9. Amounts claimed: Applicant claims 69.43 acre feet per yeaz for evaporation losses, <br />0.66 acre feet per year for dust suppression purposes, and 2.96 acre feet per~yeaz for product moisture <br />losses from the Custom Crushing Pits. Applicant will also pump water from the Custom Crushing <br />Pits at the maximum rates of 150 g.p.m. for dust suppression purposes and 1,500 g.p.m. for <br />aggregate washing purposes. All amounts are claimed conditional. In addition to these amounts, <br />the well permit to be issued to Applicant shall also allow withdrawals to ~be made from the Pits at <br />the rate of 5,000 g.p.m. for dewatering purposes. ~ <br />i <br />10. Proposed Uses: Industrial uses of evaporation during mining activities and after <br />completion of mining activities from the ponds referred to in Pazagraph 4,~ above, product moisture <br />losses through aggregate removal and processing, dust suppression, and aggregate washing, all in <br />
