•
4. Proposed Structures. The lazgest proposed structure which will remain following the cessation of
all mining and reclamation operations will be the proposed impoundment. As are shown on Map 4,
Camilletti Milner Pit # 2 -Reclamation Plan Map the proposed mine access road into the pond area
will be lefr as a feature at the time of final reclamation as per the landowners desires and the portion
of the shoreline at the end of this road will be reclaimed with a proposed boat ramp along with a
proposed picnic azea. Due to the irregulaz configuration ofthe mine plan area, the resulting shoreline
will be irregular in shape, increasing the potential edge effect and value of the site for wildlife.
5. Reclamation Plans for Dewatering Ditches. At the conunencement of mining operations, the
de~vatering ditch, constructed prior to the initiation of al I mining operations will consist of an abrupt
highwall, with the inside of the ditch being mined away. However, since mining operations will
move along the dewatering ditches these sites will be among the first sites which will be reclaimed.
The overburden/topsoil and waste materials removed from the commercial gravel deposits will then
be placed in these areas to ensure that all final slopes are as shown on Figure 4, Cross-Sections D-D'
and E-E'.
6. Reclamation Costs. A detailed discussion of the potential reclamation costs which will be
associated with this operation are found in the response to Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs.
Post Mining Slopes. The approximate configuration ofthe post mining slopes for this site aze shown
on Map 4, Camilletti Milner Pit # 2 -Reclamation Plan Map. Cross-sections of these proposed
reclamation slopes are shown on Figure 4, Cross-Sections D-D' and E-E'. Examination of these
cross-sectional figures, reveals that the final slopes below the water level of the pond will be less
than 3:1. The slopes for the regraded portion of the final highwall will be equal to or less than 3:1
for a distance of approximately 10.5 feet. All of this azea will be reclaimed to an upland seed
mixture. The slopes in the immediate vicinity of the uppermost portion of the proposed pond
shoreline will average 6:1 for a distance of approximately 12 feet. The reclaimed portion of the pond
azea corresponding to the immediately shoreline elevation will be reclaimed to a slope of 10: for a
distance of approximately 10 feet with this flat area correspond to the area from the highest elevation
of the pond to the proposed lowest elevation of the pond for a distance of approximately 10 feet in
width. This flatter portion of the reclaimed pond shoreline will be revegetated with the proposed
wetland seed mixture.
Areas of Reve etg anon. The azeas where revegetation will be conducted are shown on Map 4,
Camilletti Milner Pit # 2 -Reclamation Plan Map.
Final Shoreline Configuration. The final reclaimed feature of this action will be a rather large
permanent water body with intensive reclamation and revegetation proposed for the shoreline of this
site along with all other upland areas disturbed by gravel mining operations at this site. The proposed
impoundment azea will be flooded during mining by the construction of interim berms in the pit floor
which be flooded with water and it is believed that these interim berms
Average Thickness of Replaced Overburden The proposed average thickness of the replaced
14
