Schedule of Oaerations
Mining operations will occur as dictated by demand. Mining and screening/washing activities
will take place year round and product will be sold from this site throughout the yeaz, although
little is expected to be sold in winter months. The operator does not expect to have any night
gravel mining operations.
6. Rio Blanco County Impacts and Environmental Impacts
The impacts to Rio Blanco County will be limited. Minimal dust is expected from the operation
due to the wet nature of the pit and roads being watered as needed. Only one new access road
will be required to access the eastern phase of the pit as shown on Maps C-2 and F. Traffic will
enter County Road 5 then access Highway 64 and will travel primarily south on County Road 5
but could go in either direction depending on sales. No new impacts to county services will
occur. The long term effect of the operation will be beneficial to the environment by providing
an aesthetically pleasing lake with a wetland fringe that can be used by wildlife. Impacts to Rio
Blanco County and the surrounding landowners are discussed in detail in the Special Use
Application.
Yi'hite River City Pit, April 07 D-10
