Smith
Reclamation Specialist
Re: Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine
Permit No. CO 84-065
Dear Ms. Smith:

~IAY 17 1993
~lVISi0ii 0` ,vil~,dl~.`
u~Cl0y~
Reference is made to your letter of April 28, 1993, regarding
clarification of "issues pending".
In response, please note the following:
Item 1: There is no insulation on the water tank. Since the in-
sulation issue came up a few years ago, the water tank has been
repainted in a color where it blends nicely with the background
colors.
Item 2: Culvert at Lacy will be cleaned out this week.
Item 3: Please see letter from Michael Galloway, attached
hereto. As he pointed out the wells have been dry since being
drilled. Since this spring it appeared that there may be water
in one of them, OW-3L and OW-7L. All wells will be included in
the quarterly monitoring surveys.
Copies of his field notes are also included, showing that the
wells have been checked periodically.
Item 4: Arrangements have been made with Schmueser, Gordon,
Meyer Associates, a professional engineering firm, to conduct fu-
ture pond inspections. A copy of the April 28, 1993, inspection
is enclosed.
