3-20 <br />now estimated to be approximately 30 years, the site will be <br />totally abandoned. This abandonment of the Prtunger Canyon site <br />will involve the following: <br />o Total removal of all structures, roads <br />(paving to be recycled if possible), <br />temporary diversion structures and sedi- <br />mentation ponds. <br />o Adits will be sealed pursuant to MSHA <br />regulations. <br />o Coal stockpile areas and coaly material <br />found in the work area will be cleaned <br />and deposited along the coal outcrop. <br />o The area will be backfilled and graded <br />to contour to correspond with the hydro- <br />logic balance and post-mining land use <br />of the area. Extra effort will be taken <br />to cover the extent of the coal outcrop <br />and deposited coaly material. <br />o The entire area will be regraded and top-' <br />soiled, and will be revegetated in a man- <br />ner that is compatable with existing plant <br />communities and slope conditions. <br />In the event that the Munger Canyon Mine is abandoned prior to <br />the McClane t9ine (addressed under separate permit) the use of <br />the Munger Canyon waste rock pile will be discontinued for dis- <br />posal of rock generated from PtcClane Canyon The reclamation and <br />abandonment of the waste rock disposal site will be undertaken <br />relative to other reclamation work outlined for the Munger operation, <br />and a small waste rock disposal site will be addressed and permitted <br />within the McClane Canyon Permit Are a <br />2.7.1 Removal of Surface Structures <br />At the conclusion of the operation as described in Section 2.1, all <br />mine support facilities will be removed from the site, the area <br />
