now estimated to be approximately 30 years, the site will be
totally abandoned. This abandonment of the Prtunger Canyon site
will involve the following:
o Total removal of all structures, roads
(paving to be recycled if possible),
temporary diversion structures and sedi-
mentation ponds.
o Adits will be sealed pursuant to MSHA
regulations.
o Coal stockpile areas and coaly material
found in the work area will be cleaned
and deposited along the coal outcrop.
o The area will be backfilled and graded
to contour to correspond with the hydro-
logic balance and post-mining land use
of the area. Extra effort will be taken
to cover the extent of the coal outcrop
and deposited coaly material.
o The entire area will be regraded and top-'
soiled, and will be revegetated in a man-
ner that is compatable with existing plant
communities and slope conditions.
In the event that the Munger Canyon Mine is abandoned prior to
the McClane t9ine (addressed under separate permit) the use of
the Munger Canyon waste rock pile will be discontinued for dis-
posal of rock generated from PtcClane Canyon The reclamation and
abandonment of the waste rock disposal site will be undertaken
relative to other reclamation work outlined for the Munger operation,
and a small waste rock disposal site will be addressed and permitted
within the McClane Canyon Permit Are a
