3-11

The maximum overall slope within the work area will be approxi-
mately lv:3h in the upper portion of the area along the natural
cliff area.
The waste rock pile and the sediment pond will require backfilling
and grading. The waste rock area will be recontoured back into
the hillside. Drainages around the pile will he re-established
(see Figure 3.1-1). The sediment pond will be backfilled with
excess fill. Drainage ditches around and above the sediment pond
will be regraded.
All topsoil in the topsoil stockpile will be used for reclamation.
Topsoil will be scraped down to the level of the pre-existing
• soil surface, thus restoring the original surface topography in
those areas.
During storage, the topsoil stockpile will be stabilized with a
perennial vegetation cover resulting from drill seeding of 5 lbs/acre
Western Wheatgrass-Arriba, 5 lbs/acre Streambank Wheatgrass-
Soder, and 5 lbs/acre Thickspike Wheatgrass-Critana. Weed cover
will be controlled via the most appropriate technique. This will
decrease problems with weed competition during final reclamation.
