3-10
• ~
ranch road (approximately 100 yards above the waste rock pile)
the haul road will be abandoned and reclaimed. Drainages will
be restored across the road and cuts and fills will be graded to
gentler slopes where practical. In particular, the road fill
crossing the valley some 400 yards below the waste rock will be
removed to restore the natural drainage profile.
The remainder of the haul road will be partially reclaimed as it
is to be returned for use as a ranch road following mining. This
will require minor regrading _of_fills and backfillin_g_cuts_to
leave a road bed approximately 10 feet wide. S-f o /Vo.~_:~
• The major effort in the area of/the bench will consist of the
sealing of adits (Section 3.7); covering of the exposed coal out-
crop, cleanup of coaly material from the work area and grading to
create a configuration compatable with selected post-mining land. use
as described in Section 4.1.2.3 and shown on Figure 4,1-1.'~
Coal and coaly material will be scraped from the work bench area
and placed against the coal outcrop and sealed adits. A portion
of the material in the work area will then be brought up to cover
the outcrop and will be graded to contours approximating those in
existence prior to the startup of mining operations (See Figure
3. 1-1)
Restoration of ephemeral drainages are addressed in Section 3. 6.
1_ _ J
