Section 615.15 (g) Continued. <br />• (1) Prevents erosion; <br />(2) To the extent possible using the best technology currently avail- <br />able, prevents additional contributions of suspended solids to stream- <br />flow or runoff outside the exploration area; and <br />(3) Complies with all other applicable State or Federal requirements. <br />In no case will any ephemeral, intermittent or perennial stream be <br />diverted during the exploration activities. Overland flow will be <br />diverted, if necessary, so that erosion is controlled by ditches, <br />water bars, sedimentation ponds or other methods capable of control- <br />ling erosion and minimizing additional contributions of suspended <br />solids to streamflow outside the exploration area. Such diversions <br />shall be done in a manner that complies with all other applicable <br />Federal and State Requirements. See also the discussion under 30 <br />• Section 780.29. <br />(h) Each exploration hole, borehole, well, er other exposed underground <br />opening created during exploration must meet the requirements of 30 CFR <br />816.13, 816,14, and 816.15. <br />Upon completion, cuttings from drill holes will be placed in the <br />drill hole and the site reclaimed. Some holes will be left open <br />and completed with piezometers, if they are needed for ground water <br />monitoring in accordance with 30 CFR 816.13. The requirements of <br />30 CFR 816.13, 14 and 15 will be met for each exploration hole. <br />(i) All facilities and equipment shall be removed from the exploration <br />area promptly when they are no longer needed for exploration, except for <br />those facilities and equipment that the regulatory authority determines <br />may remain to -- <br />• el5-a <br />
