• 2.05.3 OPERATION PLAN
Although coal is no longer being mined under this Permit, there are other uses such as ash
disposal, other noncoal waste disposal, and road and facility maintenance which do not fit
into the Reclamation Plan (2.05.5). For that reason, they are included here.
Site Facilities in Use
The Surface Features Map (Appendix M-I) shows existing surface features and the Mine
Permit boundary.
The following site facilities continue to be used:
* Asphalt paved access road &right-of--way fencing to the mine site
* Sediment Pond #2
* Shop/officelwarehouse
* Laramie-Foxhills water well #1
* Sewage treatment plant
* Electrical distribution lines
* Drum storage shed (20'x 15') East of Shop and Office
* Explosive Magazine, shown on Map N-3
* Portable Magazine, shown on Map N-3
• * (3) 12,690 gallon, above ground Diesel Storage Tanks, (registered w/EPA)
* (1) 5,716 gallon, above ground Gasoline Tank (registered w/EPA)
* Portable Dragline Bucket repair shed, presently located west of the shop and offices
All facilities are shown on the Permitted Area Map (Appendix M-2) and listed below:
* Office, shop, and warehouse with additions. (Appendix O-1)
Disturbed lands in the facility areas have been mulched with manure and seeded.
Stockpiles Al, A3, B 1, and B2 have been treated similarly for slope stability. Both "A"
and "B" Pits have been reclaimed to five feet above the pre-mining water table and both
pits have been used for ash disposal. It is estimated that at 45,000 c.y./yr. of disposed ash,
this facility will last another thirty years. "A" Pit is presently being used for ash disposal.
u
102 5/96
