<br />with a chisel or other implement to help bind the subsoil <br />and topsoil to prevent slippage. <br />Seeding should be done by drilling with a suitable <br />drill, with the seed placed at a depth of 1/2" to 1". The <br />soil should be firmly packed. It is recommended that the <br />site be roller packed immediately before or after drilling <br />to maximize soil contact with the seed. <br />Broadcast seeding is acceptable if drilling is not <br />possible. The following seeding rates should be doubled if <br />broadcasted. Following broadcasting, the area should be <br />lightly raked or harrowed to incorporate the seed to the <br />desired 1/2" to 1" depth in the soil. <br />Seeding dates recommended are between October 30 <br />through April 30 to take advantage of winter and spring <br />moisture.
