Mr. Dale S. Anders• -2- • May 29, 1982
blank copy is enclosed. The financial warranty can be any one of several types
(including a corporate surety, a certificate of deposit, a bank Letter of
credit, and a deed of trust on other IandsJ. As soon as you have decided
what type you wish to use, please contact me, and I will send you the proper
forms. Please be advised that my suggestion of keeping a 52,500.00 financial
warranty Level for this pit was based on Mrs. PoweIl`s plans for the pit. If
you wish to do more mining or otherwise expand the extraction of gravel in
the pit, the total recommended financial warranty could be as much as $5,000.00.
Although the amount of the financial warranty must be set by the Board at
their meeting, the actual warranty itself need not be submitted in order for
the application to be considered by the Board. Final permit issuance is
dependent upon receipt and approval of the performance and financial warranties.
I hope I have been clear concerning the procedures necessary in order for
you to take over the permitting of this pit. Please feel free to call me
if I can anscver any questions in this matter.
Sincerely,
Mark S. Loye
Senior Reclamation Specialist
MSL/mmt
Enclosures
cc: Mrs. Bertha Powell
