Box 1107 <br />Alamosa, Colorado 81101 <br />~ 5Yf-~~Yo <br />Re: Po[rell Construction Company Pit <br />Our File No. 77-53 <br />Dear Mr. Andersen: <br />I have received a letter from Mrs. Bertha Powell that says that she has sold <br />her company to you, and that you wish to nocr permit the above-captioned pit <br />in the name of Andersen Construction Company. After our telephone conver- <br />sation of last week, it seems reasonable to me that this application can be <br />ready to go to the Board by the June 23-29, 1982 meeting, and therefoz•e, I <br />will plan to schedule it for that meeting. Enclosed please find a copy of <br />my letter to her. <br />In order for you to take over this permit, Z will need the following items: <br />J 1) A letter from you requesting that you now be conside}~ed the operator of <br />this pit and the applicant for the permit for this pit;`~1) A copy of the <br />lease, reassignment of the Zease, or other source of Segal right to enter <br />the permit area that you now possess; and 3) A reply by you to my adequacy <br />letter of April 2, 1982 to Mrs. Pocrell concerning the permit application. <br />I suggest that you make sure that you have a copy of Mrs. Powell's file in <br />this matter. This file should include a copy of all of the application <br />materials and correspondence between her and this office to date (including <br />the aforementioned adequacy letter). You should review these materials and <br />decide if you wish to continue the permit according to her plans or modify it <br />in some way. You caa communicate this decision to me in your reply to my <br />adequacy letter (as mentioned above). If you do not feel that Mrs. Powe11's <br />file in this matter is complete, you may wish to review our file at our <br />office or request a copy of some portion of our File. <br />In order for a permit to be issued for this operation, a financial warranty <br />and a performance carranty must be submitted to our Division and approved. <br />The performance warranty can be filled out by you (adding the correct Iega2 <br />description of the pit to the nearest I/4 1/4 section as Exhibit A), and a <br />
