1. 17 - <br />1.718 - R <br />(a) Ranch or Farm shall mean a parcel of land, which is used for grazing livestock <br />or growing crops for the primary purpose of obtaining q monetary profit. <br />(b) Recreafionaf Vehicle shalt mean a vehicle towed or self-propelled on its own <br />chassis or attached to the chassis of another vehicle and designed or used for <br />recreational or sporting purposes. Recreational vehicles shall include, but not be <br />limited to, travel trailers, pickup campers, camping trailers, motor coach homes, <br />converted trucks, buses and vans, and boats and boat trailers. <br />(c) Religious Building shall mean a permanently located building commonly used <br />for religious worship. Such buildings shall be fully enclosed with walls (including <br />windows and doorsj, having a roof of other than canvas or fabric, and shat( <br />conform to applicable legal requirements affecting design and construction. <br />(d) Resfaumnfi shall mean a business which sells food and beverages, provides for <br />complete (customer orders at the table) sit-down service for on-site consumption, <br />without provisions for drive-in service. <br />(e) Retail Sales and Services shall mean the sale of goods, articles or services <br />individually or usually in small quantities directly to the ultimate consumer or <br />general public. <br />(f) Riparian shall mean areas related to, living or located on the bank of a natural <br />watercourse or lake. Riparian areas include groups of plants, animals and aquatic <br />communities whose presence is either directly or indirectly attributed to water- <br />influenced or water-related factors. Areas exempt from This definition are <br />manmade agricultural structures and devices including irrigation ditches and <br />artificial ponds. <br />!g) Rood shall mear. a County road, slate highway, public road, street or alley, or <br />private Thoroughfare which affords access to abutting property. <br />(h) Road, Public shall mean any street, road or right-of-way owned or occupied by <br />the County and located outside the incorporated areas of the Cities. <br />(i) Roof Sfrucfure shall mean a structure for tfie housing of elevators, stairways, <br />tanks, ventilation fans, and similar equipment required to operate and maintain the <br />building; fire or parapet walls; skylights; towers; roof signs; flagpoles; chimneys; <br />smokestacks; solar collectors; wireless masts; television antennas; and similar <br />structures. <br />Gilpin County Zoning Regulations 21 <br />
