Ms. Camille M. Farrell
Page: 2
July 10, 1987
the present time.
Response to No. 3: - Although Maps provided
apparently illustrated the location of the operation to be in
the reservior inlet, the Cove Lake Reservior is fed by the
Tao:; Valley Ditch No. 3. The owners of the Cove Lake
Reservior entered into an agreement with an organization
called "The San Luis Valley Well Owners Association, Inc."
Saicl Association purchased the water rights which were used
to fill said reservoir from the Pete Middlemist family.
Thereafter a plan of augmentation was submitted to the Water
Court in and for Water District No. 3 and the water rights
whi<:h previously fed Cove Lake Reservior are permitted to
flow downstream as part of a plan of augmentation. What was
identified as an inlet on the map as to Section 6 is really
nothing more than an arroyo through which rain water on
occeision flows. A better description of what actually occurs
is ghat the inlet does not channel water at all.
Response to No. 4: The addresses of the immediately
adje~cent landowners are as follows:
Robert E.
