DISCUSSION ITEM <br />p a e on ine Subsidence Protection Program. <br />Staff presented ATTACHMENT B - bound copy of an auditor's year-end <br />report for the Mine si ence Protection Program and ATTACHMENT C - a <br />memo dated July 25, 1990, to the Board in which results o e o orado <br />Springs marketing efforts were given. <br />It was noted that the marketing effort was successful. Inspections for <br />the new enrollees to the programs are anticipated to be completed by <br />the end of August. Staff related that the efforts to increase <br />enrollment into the program will continue for the remainder of the <br />State starting in October. Box 1445 <br />Grand Island, NE 68802 <br />All persons wishing to give testimony were sworn. <br />SE 1/4 sec. 28, T12N, R44W, Sedgwidc County, 9 acres; sand and gravel. <br />Consideration of possible notice of violation, cease and desist order, <br />corrective actions and civil penalties for mining without a permit. <br />Staff presented ATTACHMENTS A - a June 20, 1990, inspection report; B <br />a June 25, T990, a er o e Division from the Highway Department,- <br />i.e., information that the operator conducted activities in the area, <br />copy of the operator's contract with the Highway Department and a <br />location map and C - a Division (civil penalty) presentation form. <br />Staff discussed the Attachments respectively. The Division received a <br />complaint from a citizen that a possible illegal operation was being <br />conducted, which resulted in a water-filled pit. On June 20, 1990, the <br />Division conducted an inspection of the operation. The inspection <br />report documented information that an operation had taken place, and <br />the pit does contain water.
