Board scheduled a Formal Public <br />Hearing for August; consider a request by the Canyon Defense Coalition <br />to re-schedule the hearing. <br />Staff related that the first status meeting, regarding this issue was <br />held on July 24, 1990, with Mr. Terry O'Connor presiding as Pre-hearing <br />Officer. At that meeting, Ms. Felicity Hannay, on behalf of the Canyon <br />Defense Coalition, requested that the Formal Public Hearing scheduled <br />for the August Board Meeting be re-scheduled fora later date. <br />Mr. O'Connor stated that he had suggested the request to re-scheduled <br />the Formal Public Hearing be brought before the Board, because the <br />parties involved did not uniformly agree as to whether or not the <br />request should be granted. <br />Ms. Hannay related that the schedule developed for submission of <br />materials and designation of issues for hearing was one to which they <br />could adhere. The exception being that some of her witnesses would not <br />be available for the August Board Meeting. She discussed this issue <br />further with the Board and answered their questions. <br />
