• III. SPECIFICATIONS <br />Civil <br />Concrete: All concrete shall have a 28 day compressive strength of at least 3000 <br />psi. Reinforced steel is to be ASTM A615 Grade 60 deformed bars. The cement <br />shall be ASTM C150 Type II. PAaximum aggregate shall be 1" nominal and conform <br />to ASTM C33. <br />Piping: Mainline piping is to be 8" diameter meeting ASTM Spec. No. D-3034, SDR <br />35. All pipe and fittings shall be made from PVC compounds meeting the <br />requirement of ASTP.4 D-1784 and shall not contain more than 146 fillers. Gasket <br />joints shall meet or exceed those requirements of ASTM D-3212. <br />The Engineer's approval shall be received prior to the purchase of mainline piping. <br />Pipe Installation: All piping is to be placed according to the lines and grades shown <br />on the plans. <br />Compaction: Fill placed beneath the railroad tracks shall be compacted to 95°.0 of <br />standard proctor density. Fill placed adjacent to the sewage plant shall also be <br />compacted to 90%. Bottom of trenches shall be undisturbed native ground, if <br />disturbed select material compacted to 90°,6 will be used to bring the trench bottom <br />up to grade. <br />Overhaul: Overhaul material will be dumped in a Location designated by the <br />Engineer. <br />Electrical <br />All work is to conform to the standards set forth in the latest edition of the <br />National Electrical Code (NEC). All electrical enclosures shall be the metal type. <br />• <br />-6- <br />
