2. Ground Water Data
• a. Ground Water Levels
Water level measurements collected at all Seneca II wells from 1900 to 1996 are presented
in Appendix 7-2A. Water level hyd rographs are presented prior to each well's water level
report. Detailed discussions of ground water levels can be found in the Seneca II AHRs
submitted annually to the CDMG.
b. Ground Water Quality
Ground water quality reports are presented in Appendix 7-2B for each well, the first page
presents a total dissolved solids (TO51 plot with a trend line. This trend line is
generated by a method known as LOWESS (Locally Weighted Scatierplot Smoothingl. A
smoothness factor cf 1.0 ion a scale of 0 to 1.01 was used, which gives maximum
smoothness. Each TDS plot is followed by a percent milliequivalent for all samples
collected since 1983 (database will not calculate ea rller ground water data). Each
milliequi valent report is followed by a water quality sta tl stical summary for all historic
data. The term "censored data" found on these summaries refers to concentrations that are
below the detection limits, and ate Lherefore censored from statistical analyses. Each
summary' is followed by a report of individual analyses, then finally a remarks report.
• 3. Surface Water Data
Water quality and flow data from 1980 to 1996 for all Seneca II surface water sites, NPDES
sues, and natural scri ngs and spoil springs are presented in Appendix 7-4A. For each
surface water site, the first page presents a TDS LGWESS plot (see previous "Groune Water
Quality" section), `~"nlc'wed ty a pence nt mil L.'equ.':alect report fr all samples cc.ieci eC
since 1960 (database will rst ca_c~late earlier s~.:r `ace water Data), and then a
statisticai summa r)' Isee previous "Ground Water Quality" sectitr~ for an explanation of
"censcred" datal. Due to the vclumi nous nature of NPDES data (weekly
analyses `.nom 1980 tt 1996 for NPDES 002 and 003, 1983 to 1996 for NPDES 009, and 1900 to
1996 for NPGES 000) statisticai summaries for each year (rather than individual analyses)
. are provided. The date range for each year's summary may be found at the bottom of each
page. The reader rs referred to the Seneca II AHRS for listings of individual analyses
and flow data.
7-357 Revised 02/05/97
