(b) In addition to meeting the requirements specified in paragraph (a) hereof, to conduct exploration or mining operations in compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local eater pollution control, voter quality, sit pollution control. and air quality standards. (c) To comply with any exploration or mining plan, or amended, supple- mental, or partial plan, approved in accordance with the regulations in 43 CFR Part 23 (to the same extent as if operations under this lease were surface mining), the requirements of paragraph (b) hereof, and other terms and conditions of this lease, and to take such cteps es may be specified in any cuch plan for the preservation and protection of the environment and for the protection and conservation of nonmineral resources during the conduct of exploration or mining operations, and for the reclamation of lands and voters affected by exploration or mining operations. (d) To comply with the requirements for cessation or abandonment of operations under any exploration or mining plan, or amended, supplemental, or partial plan, approved in accordance with the regulations in 43 CFR Pert 23 (to the same extent as if opera ti one under thin lease were curface mining), the requirements of paragraph (b) hereof, and other terms and conditions of this lease, and to carry out and complete operations, including all reclama- tion requirements, in accordance with any such plan. • (e) Upon approval of an exploration plan or mining plan, to file with the lessor and maintain, in addition to the bond required under subsection 2(a) hereof, a bond ir+ an amount of not less than 5500 per acre of land estimated to be affected during the first 3-year period of exploration or mining operations, and thereafter during each succeeding 3-year period of exploration or mining operations, or in such amount as may be established at the time of approv+~l of any exploration or mining plan, including amended, supplemental, or part~iel plans, whichever is greater, but in any event in an amount of not less than $2,000, which bond shall be conditioned upon the faithful compliance with the regulations in 43 CFR Part 23 (to the same extent as if operations under [his lease were surface mining), particularly Sec. 23.9, the terms .and conditions of this Sec. 5, and any approved ex- ploration or mining plan, or approved amended, supplemental, or partial plan, as the same relate to the preservation and protection of the environ- ment--land, eater, arni air--and the protection and conservation of nonmineral resources during the •tonduct of exploration or mining operations, and [o the reclamation of lands end eaters affected by exploration or mining operations. • ~
