2.05.4 (2) (b) RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE FOR BOND CALCULATION
Reclamation Equipment required is as follows:
1 Hydraulic shovel
3 30 Ton Trucks
1 Dozer (D9L)
1 Water Truck
1 Motorgader
All to be used for life of project.
Total Material to be handled = 3,520,000 BCY
At 500 BCY/hr. = 7,040 hrs. = 880 shifts = 59 wks @ 15 sh./wk. Assume 14
months, 3 shifts/day, Sve days/wk.
Hauls from present long term spoil dumps to last strip in A & B pits are to long for
scrapers. Smaller equipment similar to that used by OSM in their example was
chosen. Spoil ridge reduction will not be required as Coors, with its extended
bench mining method, flattens the nearest spoil pile to AOC soon after placement.
'There will be roads to maintain as well as rough and final gading on the topsand,
so, both motorgader and dozer will be needed for life of project.
The use of rubber tired loading equipment has been found to be unsatisfactory in
the Keenesburg environment, therefore, an 8.5 CY tracked hydrauhc shovel has
been chosen, similar to the one presently on the property.

118
