A-2
• LABORATORY TESTING
The soil encountered in field testing were sampled for classification and
laboratory testing purposes. The testing program included Atterberg limits,
moisture content, grain size analysis and direct shear tests. The methods of
performing these tests sad the test results are presented in this section.
Classification Tests
Soil from the two bulk samples referred to above were tested for in-situ
moisture content, Atterberg limits and grain size distribution. These testa
aid in the classification of the soils encountered. The results of the
moisture content testing are presented on Table A-2.
TABLE A-2
Moisture
Content
Sample Number Depth (Feet) (Percent)
Bulk Sample N 1
• Bulk Sample 0 2
Otol 6
Otol 9
The results of the Atterberg limits testing are presented on Table A-3.
