r
I-15

•

V. CONCLUSIONS
Based on the information presented, there is no Alluvial
Valley Floor at the Bourg Mine site on Mann Draw. The limit
of unconsolidated stream-laid deposits is shown on Figure
I-3. There is no evidence of historical irrigation, on Mann
Draw. An investigation of the vegetation on Mann Draw at the
Bourg site indicated that no subirrigation exists. An
extensive analysis of regional flood irrigation practices in
the Michigan and Canadian Basins indicated that such
irrigation could not be supported on Mann Draw. The basis for
this conclusion is the lack of a dependable supply of water
on Mann Draw. The evidence shows that the mining activities
., at the Bourg site will not impair future agricultural use of
the area.
Leonard Rice ConsuRing Water Engineers, InC.
