~ ,. <br />" 2.) Factors which must be considered during each inspection must include: <br />a.) Steepness of waste pile slopes must conform to the designed slopes. <br />b.) Waste fill should be placed in 12'-18" lifts and shall in no case exceed 24". <br />c.) Waste fill shall be compacted to 90% of the maximum dry density. A density test <br />should be run near the beginning of the construction to give the mine foreman an <br />idea of how compacted the material must be to meet this requirement. <br />d.) Seepage. <br />e.) Stability of sediment pond embankments. <br />f.) Level of sediment in the pond and pond maintenance. <br />g.) Erosion. <br />Re in <br />1.) A certified report shall be given to MI..RB within 2 week of each inspection by the <br />engineer. <br />2.) Copies of the inspection reports must available at the mine site. <br />3.) If during any inspection potential hazards or significant deviations from the accepted <br />design plan are found which cannot be fixed in an appropriate time the MLRB must be <br />promptly notified. <br />
