<br />' Plant Community Survey <br />' Map Area No. 1 <br />Map Area No. 1 has been disturbed by previous mining activities and <br />' includes roads, various old mine rock dump piles, pits, prospects, cleared <br />ground and other related disturbances. Bare ground is common. Annual <br />species, such as cheatgrass and various annual forbs, are common. Other <br />grasses and forbs, with a few trees and shrubs are present between the <br />' areas disturbed and are invading the historic disturbance. The type and <br />density of vegetation depends on the extent of the historic disturbance. <br />Map Area No. 2 <br />Map Area No. 2 primarily surrounds the old mining-related disturbances <br />' on the east side of the ridge and is characterized by shrubs, grasses, <br />forbs and scattered trees. The ground cover ranges from 0 percent where <br />bedrock is exposed, to about 30 percent.
