This mapping unit is used primarily for rangeland or wildlife habitat.
Rangeland vegetation on these soils consists primarily of western
wheatgrass, Indian ricegrass, needle and thread, blue grams, mutton
. grass, fendlers three awn, Junegrass, big sagebrush, rabbitbrush, pinyon
pine, rocky mountain juniper, ponderosa pine, service berry, snowberry,
and Gambel oak.
Wildlife such as elk, mule deer, wild turkeys and various birds
utilize this soil. These animals obtain their food from nearby cropland
and rangeland and from plants on the soil. Forested areas provide shelter
and nesting areas.
Steep slopes are the primary limiting soil features when planni~ig for
the construction of homes and other community developments. The construc-
tion of sanitary facilities may pose a potential pollution problem to
nearby water.
~ ~, ,: ~ ..
_~_ -
~ - ~ '' ~
