9. We have been in the wildlife rehabilitation business for the DOW for a number or
years. We purchased our property at Sunbeam, for the expressed purpose of a
wildlife refuge for the animals we rehabilitate and for the peace and solitude it
would offer our family. To have this totally disrupted for at least 10 yeazs is
devastating to us and our family.
10. There are a number of places this mine site could be placed without impacting our
lives and our property. We don't want to see it, smell it, hear it, and deal with the
filth associated with a mine.
11. The Moffat County Road Department has clearly ignored the fact that there is a
home and ranch almost next door to this proposed mine site and have purposely
left us out of any information about it.
We are asking that you deny the application for the mining pei:nit in the carrertly
proposed area for the Sunbeam Pit #1 as it will ruin our business and impact our
lives in a horrible way. We acknowledge that the county has spent considerable
time and money in the pursuit of this mine, but if we had been notified in the
beginning of the endeavor, we would have voiced our objections before time and
money had been spent in this area.
Thank you for considering our request. We have attached a map, which is part of
the county's application package, to offer you visual proximity of the mining operation to
our property.
Sincerely,
~,~~~G~
Todd and Carol Weber
P.O.
