<br /> <br />Page 3, Yankee Gulch Sodium Minerals Project .4pri1 6, 1999 <br />At the Planning Commission meeting held on March 18, 1999, the <br />Commission recommended to approve this project with the following <br />conditions: <br />Weeds 6e adequately controlled in all disturbed areas and the <br />eatire lease area. <br />2. All straw, hay or mulch brought in off-site shall be certified <br />noxious weed free. <br />3. All earth-moving equipment shall be washed before entering Rio <br />Hlanco County. All heavy equipment, including trucks and <br />trai]ers, tvhich have been off-road or otherwise have the potential <br />to spread weed seeds, shall also be washed before entering Rio <br />Blanco County. Equipment shall be washed after working in any <br />identified noxious weed areas during construction within pipe]ine <br />easements and mining areas. <br />4_ All areas disturbed by initial constructton or by maintenance <br />within pipeline easements and mining areas will be restored to its <br />pre-construction topography and tevegetated in accordance with <br />HLlvl or Soil Conservation District specifications where applicable <br />or, in the alternative, to the surface owner's specification. Ttte Soil <br />Conservation District shall be consulted regarding such <br />revegetation. Revegetation efforts should continue until they are <br />successful, as determined by the ALM, Soil Conservation District <br />or landowner, as applicable, <br />5. Topsoil shall be segregated to ensure its return to the top of the <br />trench within all buried pipeline easements during construction or <br />maintenance operations. <br />6. American Soda, L.L.P. shall comply with the stipulations to its <br />Major Development Permit application and with all applicable <br />local, state and federal requirements and will obtain all required <br />permits. <br />7. Any required permits Crom the Bureau of Land Management for the <br />project shall be obtained. <br />
