Vegetation information of the proposed permitted area, i.e., species <br />and percent ground covered by each species, requires submittal. The <br />Soil Conservation Service (S.C.S.) may aid you in this matter. <br />2. A soil inventory of the proposed permitted area requires submittal. <br />The S.C.S. may aid you in this matter. <br />3. A copy of this application will be transmitted to the Colorado Division <br />of Wildlife for their review and comments. A copy of any <br />correspondence received from them will be transmitted to you. <br />Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan <br />1. The proposed final pit slopes of 2H:1V are too steep for the final land <br />use: "cattle-holding (and, consequently, grazing) area." Please commit <br />to reclaiming slopes no steeper than 3H:1V, thereby reducing the <br />erosion potential of the slopes. <br />2. a. Are the S.C.S. fertilization, mulching and weed control <br />recommendations included as part of the Reclamation Plan? <br />b. If not, please provide fertilization and mulching types and rates <br />that will be implemented during final reclamation. <br />3. Cattle should be excluded from this area until vegetation has been <br />successfully established. Please discuss how this will be accomplished <br />(fencing, etc.). <br />Other <br />1. If met with your approval, "Permit No." M-85-072 will be added to page <br />1, and "of the N.M.P.M." will be added to the Legal Description on <br />Exhibit A of the Performance Warranty submitted for this operation. <br />Please provide a response to each item addressed in this letter at your <br />earliest convenience, preferably prior to June 19, 1985.
