EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan
The purpose of the reclamation plan is to describe the timing procedures, criteria and
materials that will be used to reclaim the affected land to the proposed future land use.
This plan will correlate to Exhibit E- Map.
1. At the time of reclamation the existing topsoil will be put back that was taken otF
2. The maximum gradient of the reclaimed slopes is 20%. To go to a gentler slope you
would have to disturb and move more ground. To put it back to its original vegetation
there is a need to stay with a steeper slope.
3(a). Any topsoil that has been removed will be replaced which would be approximately
no more than 2 inches .The amount of seed that will be used is approximately 260
pounds. The amount of seed was figured by multiplying seeding rates by the number of
acres.
Please see attached Exhibit D-3.
(b). The ground will be disced to keep it from compacting. There is no plan at this time to
have to fertilize the ground.
(c) .The grass and forb species to be planted and the quantities of each are as follows:
SPECIES
Western wheat grass
Streambank wheat grass
Indian rice grass
Four wing salt bush
Yellow sweet clover
PLS PER ACRE
9.6 Ibs per acre
6.6 Ibs per acre
7.5 lbs per acre
1.0 Ibs per acre
1.4 Ibs per acre
ACRES TOTAL PLS LBS
6 . 57.6
6 39.6
6 45.0
6 6.0
6 8.4
(d) The seeds will be broadcasted and then it will be harrowed.
(e) There will be straw 4000 Ibs of straw per acre to be used for mulch.
(~ Please see the preceeding paragrahs and exhibits.
4.
