<br />KINNEAR SERIES <br />Taxonomic Classification: Fine-loamy, mixed, masic family of Ustollic <br />Camborthids. <br />Setting: Kinnear soils are on valley-filling fans. They have formed in loa;ny, <br />calcareous alluvium. Slopes are 2 to G percent. <br />Ganeral Characteristics: Kinnear soils are wall-drained with modarate <br />permeability and medium runoff. Vegetation is primarily mixed perennial grassas, <br />cheatgrass and big sagebrush. <br />Range in Characteristics: Textures are barn throughout with 15 to 25 parcent <br />clay. Coarse frag;nent content is 0 to 10 peroent with accumulations of visible <br />secondary calcium carbonate below about 20 inches. Reaction is mildly to strongly <br />• alkaline. Depth to bedrock is greater than 60 inch's. <br />Type Location: b50 feet east, 350 feet south of tha northwest cornzr of Section <br />27, T2N, R101.+1. Pit number 18. <br />L <br />
