<br />135 - Rentsac channery loan, 5 to 50 percent slopes. <br />'The Rentsac soil is shallow, rocky, and wall-drained. It developed fro,n <br />sandstone residuum on ridgetops. Small areas of rock outcrop and Red creek, <br />Piceance and Yamac sois were included in mapping. <br />These soils and rock outcrop occupy less than 20 percent of the mapping <br />unit. <br />The Rentsac soil has rapid permeability and rapid runoff. 'The erosion hazard <br />is slight to moderate. Available waterholding capacity is vary low to low. <br />Effective rooting depth is 10 to 20 inches. <br />This soil is used for livestock grazing and wildlife habitat. The vegetation <br />is primarily juniper, big sagebrush and mixed grasses. <br />The average depth of suitable topsoil material is 6 inches. This material <br />• is rated fair to good with suitability decreasing with depth. <br />• <br />
