C~ <br />Available water holding capacity is moderate to high. Effective rooting depth <br />is usually greater than 50 inches. <br />(2) Class 2 <br />These soils have 20 to 40 inches of fair to good topsoil material. <br />the Class 2 soil series in the survey area are Satanka, Cushman, Piceance and <br />Pinelli. These soils have A horizon textures ranging from sandy loam to loam; <br />B horizons, if present, are loam to clay loan; C horizons rang? from loan to <br />clay. They are well to somewhat excessively drained with medium runoff and slow <br />to moderately rapid permeability. They are nonsaline and nonakalin~ to depths <br />• of thrse feet or more. iJind and water erosion hazard is moderate to high. TiLth <br />at optimum moisture content is fair to very good. The potential for compaction <br />varies from low to moderate. Soil structurs has fair to very good stability when <br />wet. The potential for crusting upon drying is lo~.r to .noderate. Available water <br />holding capacity is moderate to high. Effective rooting depth is typically 30 <br />to 40 inches. <br />(3), Class 3 <br />Class 3 soils have 10 to 20 inches of Fair to good topsoil material.
