<br />Typical Profile: ~forfka silty clay loam. <br />Al (0-3"): Brown (lOYR 513) silty clay loan, brown to dark brown (10YR <br />4/3) moist; weak fine subangular blocky structure; soft, very friable, sticky <br />and plastic; common roots; strongly effervescent; lime disseminated; mildly <br />alkaline (pH 7.7 ); clear smooth boundary. <br />Bet (3-10"): Yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) silty clay, dark yellowish brown <br />(10YR 4/4) moist; weak coarse angular blocky structure; hard, friabl°, sticky <br />and plastic; common roots; common thin clay fil;ns on ped faces and in pores; <br />strongly effervescent; lime disseminated; moderately alkaline (pH 7.8): gradual <br />smooth boundary. <br />Cca (10-18"): Pale brown (10YR 6/3> silt loam, brown (10YR 5/3) moist; <br />massive; hard, friable, slightly sticky and slightly plastic; few roots; violently <br />• effervescent; few fine threads and masses of lime; mildly alkaline (pH 7.5). <br />R (18+"): Thinly interbedded, calcareous sandstone ann shale. <br />• <br />
