Rule 6.3.4 Exhibit D- Reclamation Plan Please address the following items; <br />• Please specify the depth of topsoil to be replaced on site. <br />• Please specify a seed mixture to be planted in pure live seed per acre (PLS), the application method <br />for seeding, how the seed bed will be prepared [o eliminate compacted conditions, and the time of year <br />when the area will be reseeded. Please also state if fertilizer or mulch will be applied to the site and <br />state the quantities and application rate. <br />The Division is awaze of the MRCS letter addressed to Rick Ensminger, however, the letter is a <br />recommendation to the applicant. The applicant will need to specifically state which portions of the <br />NRCS letter will be followed in the reclamation plan in order for it to meet the minimum requirements <br />of the Construction Materials Rules and Regulations. <br />• Please state if the bottom of the reclaimed drainage will be reinforced with rock material (or other <br />method) to provide a stable channel configuration consistent with the future land use. <br />• Please provide a cross section of the proposed reclaimed channel depicting the grade of the reclaimed <br />slopes and [he elevation of the bottom of the channel in relation to the undisturbed sections of the <br />channel, This is necessary to adequately describe the gradient of all reclaimed slopes sufficient to <br />describe the post mine topography. <br />5. Rule 6.3.5 Exhibit E- Man Please indicate on the map the areas that will not be established with <br />vegetation. <br />6. Please provide a method of weed control that shall be employed for all prohibited noxious weed species, <br />and whenever invasion of a reclaimed area by other weed species seriously threatens the development of <br />the desired vegetation. <br />7. Attached, please find a copy of a letter from the Division of Wildlife regarding the proposed operation. <br />Please be advised that the Ensminger Pit application may be deemed inadequate, and the application maybe <br />denied on July 26, 2002 unless the above mentioned adequacy review items aze addressed [o the satisfaction of <br />the Division. If you feel more time is needed to complete your reply, [he Division can grant an extension to the <br />decision date. This will be done upon receipt of a written waiver of your right to a decision by July 26, 2002 <br />and request for additional time.
