Backslepes and the pit floor ~ <br />will 'nave topsoil replaced at a depth of 9 to 18 inches with 12 inches <br />being t:ze average. Backslopes on the exterior perimeters will be fin- <br />ished at 3:1. The pit floor trill be left level with a oradual slope <br />towards the river. The terns of the lease specifically require this <br />as the Lessor wants to improve the site for livestock grazing. <br />Tlie pit floor is proposed to feather out on both sides of tl~e <br />river at elevation Soo"10 which will provide a minimum 100 feet setback <br />from the Slate River. This setback will Help insure the integrity of <br />the river. <br />The applicant is proposing that this pit be on a floating bond <br />with bonding on 20 acres. Of the 20 acres, 10 acres would be major <br />disturbance, 5 acres moderate disturbance and 5 acres minor disturb- <br />ance. Reclamation is proposed to start ,on Phase IA &B with replace- <br />ment of topsoil and reseeding in early 1984. Reclamation will then <br />follow extraction as rapidly 3s'possiBIe thereafter. <br />Bac}:slopes and the pit floor will be reseeded with the follow- <br />ing SCS recommended seed mix: <br /> Percent Lbs.
