The outslopes of the ponds and topsoil pile are
vegetated. Vegetation reduces the amount of
' sediment that can be transported by stormwater from
the outslopes.
' g. Employee Education: There are no requirements for
spill response or material management practices.
The performance of preventive maintenance is the
function that employees will perform to implement
and maintain this SWMP. This work will be directed
by the Mine Manager so no employee education is
considered necessary.
' h. Testing for Non-stormwater: The potential
stormwater discharge points have been evaluated for
' the presence of non-stormwater discharges such as
mine drainage, contaminated springs, sanitary
waste, or process water of any kind. Non of the
preceding non-stormwater sources were identified.
The evaluation was performed by the undersigned.
The evaluation was based on a visual observation of
all of the stormwater discharge points shown on the
' enclosed map. The inspection occurred on March 4,
1993.

' 6. Comprehensive Inspection
One of the individuals identified in Sa above will inspect the
stormwater management controls at least twice each year in the
' spring and fall. The inspection will note if the haul road
ditch turnout and sediment structure requires maintenance.
The inspection will also note the condition of the pond and
' topsoil pile outslopes and note if rill repair or supplemental
seeding is required.
7. Record Keeping and Internal Reporting Procedures
' A written report or form will be kept at the mine site to
document the comprehensive inspections. The report will be
' reviewed with the Mine Manager, if maintenance is required, to
assure the maintenance is scheduled and performed.
' 8. Consistency with Other Plans
This SWMP is a stand alone document and does not depend on
other plans to be complete. A copy of this SWMP will be
' available at the mine office.
