C~
J
EXHIBIT "E"
Reclamation Information
Items (1) and (2) are genera] instnictions and comments on preparation of the plan.
Specifics start in (2) (a) and are as follows:
(a) A description of the type of reclamation proposed to achieve in the
reclamation of the affected and why chosen, the amount of acreage accorded
to each, and a general discussion of methods of reclamatim~ as related to the
mechanics of dirt moving.
The operator leas chosen rangeland as the reclamation type fa this site, as this is
t}Pical of the land usage for at least a mile in each direction. The maximum acreage
that will be affected is in the 1,700 to 1,900 acre range. The project is anticipated
to have a life of over 100 years, dependent upon business conditions.
The mechanics of eartlunoving will consist of grading the pit floor and baclcslopes
and replacing topsoil to a depth of 4" to 8" depending on availability. Tl~e slope of
the finished grade of the extraction area shall be a minimum of one-half percent from
the easterly perimeter of the extraction area to the north-south line traversing through
the Nussbaum Spring and northerly tlrrough the approximate midpoint of the enitire
permitted area. Also during reclamation athree-foot high berm will be established
where daylighted on the perimeters to prevent erosion. Front-end loaders, bulldozers
and scrapers or any combination thereof will be used to accomplish this.
(b) A comparison of the proposed post-mining land use to other land uses in
the vicinity and to adopted state and total land use plans and programs. As
stated above, the proposed post-mining use is rangeland and is typical of the
land usage for at least 1 mile in each direction. This is in compliance with
adopted state and local land use plans and programs.
(c) A description of how the Reclamation Ylan will be implemented to meet each
applicable requirement of Section 3.1.
Section 3.1-Requirements
3.1.1 );stablishing Post-Mining Use
(i) The operator, wlio is also the landowner, has decided that rangeland is the
most appropriate final use for this property at the present time. The area will be
seeded for rangeland similar to the surrounding area.
