Westside Gravel
Division Of Minerals & Geology
Construction Material 112 Permit Application
EXHIBIT G
Water Information
This mining operation is not expected to directly affect surface or
groundwater systems. No ground water was encountered in any of the
exploratory test holes dug on the proposed site, therefore it is not
anticipated that ground water will be encountered in the mining operation.
There is no surface water on the property.
All water required for dust suppression and processing operations will be
hauled from outside commercial sources and stored in water tanks on the
property. It is anticipated that approximately 3700 gallons/month will be
needed for dust abatement at the crusher operation. During hnuting
operations additional water will be used for dust abatement on the access
road. The quantity of water needed on the access road will be dependent
upon the number of loads, the current wencher, etc. A local firm has been
contacted to provide and haul the necessary water.
Storm water will be controlled with ditches, dikes and erosion control
devises (silt fences & straw bales) in compliance with the latest storm water
regulations. A Storm Water Management Plnn will be developed and
implemented on the site using the most current "Best Management
Practices." A Stormwnter Discharge permit will be procured from the State
of Colorado, Water Quality Control Division prior to commencement of
mining operations.
