It occurs in moist environments, <br />in this case in the drainage of the Purgatoire River. The high cover <br />and production values for the herbaceous vegetation in the 4711104! carr <br />is a reflection of the moist environment. Enough sunlight can pene- <br />trate the willow carr to promote vegetative growth. <br />• , <br />
