The access road will remain, as <br />requested by the land owner. A silt fence will be placed at the toe <br />of the reclaimed slope adjacent to the access road and on the <br />disturbed slopes of Lewis Gulch. (Fill contained approximately <br />8,000 cubic yards of material). The lower area will be classified <br />under a small area exemption. <br />7) Stock Piles Adjacent to Mine Access Road - Material from the two <br />stockpiles adjacent to the Mine Access Road will be used on the <br />final graded slopes of the mining level bench. The stockpiles <br />contain approximately 800 cubic yards. Reclamation of the <br />Twin Pines Coal Sales Area is discussed in Section 2.06.10 of the <br />application. <br />REVEGETATION <br />Due to pre-mining activities, top soil is virtually non-existent on <br />the site. When fill slopes have been placed and graded and fine <br />grading is complete on disturbed areas the seed beds will be <br />• sampled with the assistance of the local Soil Conservation office. <br />Four representative sample locations will be chosen with samples at <br />each location divided into six inch increments down to thirty <br />inches. The composite samples will be sent to Colorado State <br />University for analysis for pH, Salts, organic Matter, Nitrate, <br />Phosphorous, Potassium, Zinc, Iron, $ Lime, Texture, Manganese, <br />Copper, SAR, and Gypsum. Recommendations for fertilizer and <br />application rates will be included with the laboratory report. The <br />cost of the analysis is approximately $10.00/sample. Twin Pines <br />will follow the recommendations of the CSU test results, the Soil <br />Conservation Service, and the Division.
