Approximately 2,800 cubic yards of soil was required
for the reclamation. (2,000 cy from Lewis Gulch Fill)
4) Access Road to North Spoil Area - (Grading complete 6/94)
a) Build up berms on outslope and grade;
b) Grade and scarify road bed to provide for drainage
from the North Spoil Area and slopes above;
c) Grade to drain to the Bench Sedimentation Pond;
d) Seed and mulch roadway, now drainage way.
Sufficient material is available within the roadway for grading.
5) Mine Yard Area & Upper Bench Areas - (After equipment has been
removed)
• a) Remove shop, water tank, and pump house from site;
b) Stockpile approximately 1,200 cubic yards of soil near
sedimentation pond for future backfill of pond;
c) Excavate, load, haul, & place ~ 2,500 cy of material from
Lewis Gulch on the bench slope at a maximum grade of 4:1;
d) Remove substation;
e) Grade upper bench;
f) Build up berms on outslope;
g) Construct cobblestone cross dikes;
h) Grad middle bencri, remove road and, blend slope,
install~ock lined channel on slope; j
j) Buil up berms on utslope;
k) Build cobblestone velocity disipating sturcture at
downstream end of channel ;? ~ • /~ ; ~ .. ; •
1) Scarify, seed and mulch benches, slopes, berms, etc.
m) Place ~ 1,000 lineal feet of silt fence at the toe of the
reclaimed slope.
it is estimated that 2,000 to 2,500 cubic yards of material from
the Lewis Gulch Fill will be used in grading & 1,200 cubic yards
stock piled for future reclamation of the sedimentation pond.
6) Lewis Gulch Fill and Sedimentation Structure - Remove Lewis
Gulch fill and structures. Place material as stated above and place
remaining material (~ 1,000 cy.) in the area adjacent to the access
. road and the old Golden Quality tipple. Final slope in the gulch
will be graded to the original contour and seeded and mulched in
