In September 1999, HGCC filed a permit termination request with CDPHE. The request was based on
the DMG's findings that sedimentation ponds were no longer the primary technology used to treat runoff
from the Hayden Gulch Mine. The CDPHE approved the request in October 1999. A copy of the
termination application is presented in Attachment D, Technical Revision No. G8.
