EXPLOSIVES STORAGE AREA <br />• Technical Revision <br />Vegetation <br />The vegetation bf the affected are- is the <br />shrub communities. For additional information on <br />refer to Section 2.04.10 Vegetation Information <br />Application. <br />Soils <br />sagebrush and mountain <br />these vegetation types <br />of the Colowyo Permit <br />The soils of the affected area consist of a Campspass Fine Sandy <br />Loam. For additional details refer to Section 2.04.9 Soil Resource <br />Information of the Colowyo Permit Application. <br />Cultural Resources <br />There are no known cultural or historical resources in the <br />affected area. For additional details refer to Sections 2.04.4 Cultural <br />and Historical Resource Information of the Colowyo Permit Application. <br />• Hydrology <br />The surface drainage from the affected area will be handled by <br />the existing drainage for the active pit area. The affected area is <br />located, topographically, on a ridgetop (See attached map - Prouosed <br />Explosive Storage Area). A small catchment ditch will be located on the <br />west side of the distuzbance to direct any sediment and runoff to the north <br />and east into the active pit disturbance area. For additional details <br />refer to Section 2.04.7 Hydrology Information of the Colowyo Permit <br />Application. <br />Construction Plan <br />The construction of a new Explosives Storage Area is made <br />necessary by the advance of the existing pit operation which will render <br />the present Explosive Storage Area unusable. Refer to the Revised Map 22 <br />Existing Structures Central for additional details as to the new location. <br />The construction of the Explosive Storage Area will take place as follows: <br />1. All available topsoil will be <br />areas and roads in accordance <br />Permit Application. <br />removed from all affected storage <br />with Section 2.05 of the Colowyo <br />The affected area will be approximately nine (9) acres, which <br />• <br />includes the access road and Explosive Storage Area. <br />
