The <br />purpose of the order is to identify and address. as appropriate. disproportionateh high and <br />adverse human health and environmental effects of programs. policies, or activities on <br />minority or lo~v-income populations. <br />This proposed action will not disrupt any low-income communities. No disproportionate <br />negative impacts are anticipated. <br />Signature of specialist: Loren Wickstrom 10/30/00 <br />INVASIVE, NON-NATIVE SPECIES: <br />Affected Em•ironment: Prevention, early detection, control, and eradication of small <br />noxious-weed patches remain the most practical economical, and effective means of weed <br />management. The proposed action is adjacent to County Road 18Y. <br />There will be an increase of truck traffic on the counn• roads during mining operations. <br />Environmental Consequences & Mitigation: The operator is required to meet a <br />stipulations identified by San Miguel County land use permit. <br />Signature of specialist: Loren Wickstrom 10/30/00 <br />FOREST MANAGEMENT <br />Affected Environment: Sotne Pinyon and Juniper trees will be removed as a result of this <br />action. These trees have little commercial value since the area is so isolated. The trees to <br />be removed will be stockpiles and provide valuable materials for reclamation at the end of <br />the activity.
