Approximateh' 40 acres were in+ entoried for the proposed project. The inventory resulted in neeative findings. There is no effect to am eligible or potentially eli<~ible cultw'al resource. No known Native American site or Traditional Cultural property will be affected by the project. No known protected paleontological resource will be affected b} the proposed projec / ~ /j ~. Signature of specialist: Leon Lujan 08-31-00 v ~/y- L FLOODPLAINS, WETLANDS, RIPARIAN ZONES, AND ALLUVIAL VIA(LLEYS Affected Environment: The mining will occur within the West Fork Draina~,e of Dn- Creek. The permit area consist of 8~% rock, a few scattered pinion and juniper and isolated grasses and willows. Dry Creek does receive episodic stone events, and depending on the precipitation can move a lot of +vater. For this reason the current Ilo++ pattern of the drainage is not to be changed. The flows from the drainage will enter and leave at the same place. Where mining is occurring a small lake ma} develop. the pout will drain through a natural spill way of rocl.. No equipment is allowed to be left +vithin the flood plane over night. The BLM hydrologist will determine the bounds of this flood plane.
